Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Hugo Stays (run by Min and Andrew) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or request a booking, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
When you send a booking request, we collect:
- your name, email address, phone number and country
- your stay details: apartment, dates, number of guests, fare type, purpose of visit and estimated arrival time
- anything you choose to tell us in special requests
If you email, call or message us, we also keep a record of that conversation. We don't collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
- to reply to your request, confirm your booking and send your invoice
- to send you check-in information, access codes and messages about your stay
- to look after the apartment and the building, including giving guest details to building management where they require it
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you ask to hear from us.
Who we share it with
We only share your information when we need to:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives booking request forms
- Google, which provides our email
- building management or the owners corporation, where building rules require guest details
- authorities, where the law requires it
Some of these providers store data outside Australia (for example, in the United States). We choose reputable providers that protect personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them to manage your stay and meet our tax and legal obligations (generally up to 7 years), then delete them.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may record basic technical information such as your IP address.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Just contact us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
